The Foundation: Contacts & Companies
Everything in Smackdab starts with who you're talking to.
Companies: A Company in Smackdab represents any organization you do business with, whether they are a customer, a partner, or a supplier. It’s the central profile that stores long-term information like their website, address, and main phone number.
Contacts: Contacts are the individuals you build relationships with. They can be linked to a Company (for B2B sales) or stand alone if you work directly with consumers (B2C). Each Contact profile is your go-to spot for their email address, phone number, and a complete history of all your interactions.
The Company detail page gives you a 360-degree view of the entire organization, showing you every contact, deal, and activity associated with it.
Your Opportunities in Motion: Deals
A "Deal" represents a sales opportunity you are actively pursuing. It’s where you track a potential sale as it moves through the different stages of your sales process, from the first conversation to the final handshake.
Track What Matters: Every Deal has key information like its monetary value and an expected close date, giving you a clear forecast of your potential revenue.
Visualize Your Progress: Deals live in your Pipeline, which is your roadmap for a sale. You can customize the Deal Stages (e.g., "Initial Call," "Proposal Sent," "Negotiation") to perfectly match your sales cycle. Each stage can even have a probability percentage, showing you how likely a deal is to close.

Kanban View: This popular board-style view lets you drag and drop deals from one stage to the next. It’s a fantastic way to visualize your entire pipeline at a glance.
List View: Prefer a more traditional spreadsheet-style layout. The List View gives you a clean, organized table of all your deals.
When you click into a Deal, select the related Contact and Company information, Smackdab automatically pulls timeline of every note, email, and activity, so you have the full story in one place.
The Action Hub: Activities & Email
Activities are the fuel that moves your deals forward. They are the specific actions and communications you have with your prospects.
Activities: Log every important interaction—a call, a meeting, a sent SMS, or a to-do task. This creates a complete, time-stamped history of your relationship with every contact. You can even sync your Activities with Google Calendar and Outlook to keep your schedule perfectly aligned!

Email Integration: Managing your email from Smackdab is a huge time-saver. Our smart email feature automatically links your conversations to the right Contact, Company, and Deal.
New Contact? No Problem: If you email someone not yet in your CRM, Smackdab lets you create a new contact right from your inbox.
Smart Deal Linking: If a contact has one open deal, the email is automatically associated with it. If they have multiple deals, Smackdab will prompt you to choose the correct one, keeping your records flawless.
Bringing It All Together: Attaching Files
Need to keep a proposal, contract, or spec sheet with a record? You can easily attach files from your desktop directly to Contacts, Companies, Deals, Activities, and Emails. The file will appear right in the record's timeline for easy access.
