How the Universal Add Button Works
The Universal Add Button is smart! It adapts its functionality based on where you are in Smackdab, making your data entry even faster.
From Your Dashboard
When you click the Universal Add Button from your main dashboard, you can instantly add:
Deals
Contacts
Companies
Activities
Emails
Sending an Email? If your email is connected, the compose window will pop up immediately with your "From" address already selected. If not, we'll guide you to the Connect Email screen to get you set up.
In the Deal Module
From the Deal Listing Page: Quickly add new Deals, Contacts, Companies, Activities, and Emails.
From a Specific Deal's Detail Page: When you add an activity, Smackdab will automatically link the deal name, contact, and company for you. When composing an email, the deal is automatically linked, and the contact's email address is pre-filled in the "To" field.
In the Contact Module
From the Contact Listing Page: You have the power to add new Deals, Contacts, Companies, Activities, and Emails.
From a Specific Contact's Detail Page: Creating a new deal or activity? The contact's name will be auto-filled. When you compose an email, the contact is automatically linked, and their email address will be waiting for you in the "To" field. You can also add a sub-account (child company), and Smackdab will automatically link it to the parent company.
In the Company Module
From the Company Listing Page: Easily add new Deals, Contacts, Companies, Activities, and Emails.
From a Specific Company's Detail Page: When adding a new deal, contact, or activity, the company's name will be automatically filled in. When drafting an email, the company will be linked, and the primary contact's email will be pre-filled.
Adding a Sub-Company: If you have parent companies enabled in your settings, you'll see an "Add Sub-Company" option. From a parent company's detail page, this feature will auto-fill the parent company field for you.
In the Activity Module
From the Activity listing page, you can swiftly add new Deals, Contacts, Companies, Activities, and Emails to keep your workflow moving.
