Meet the Universal Add Button: Your New Shortcut to Productivity!

Welcome to the Universal Add Button, one of Smackdab's most powerful and convenient features! Think of it as your central hub for adding new information to your CRM. With just one click, you can create new deals, contacts, leads, companies, activities, and emails from anywhere in the platform. It's all about streamlining your workflow, saving you time, and keeping you focused on what you do best: selling.

How the Universal Add Button Works

  1. Select the Universal Add Button at the top of your screen.

  1. Select action from dropdown menu.

    When you click the Universal Add Button from your main dashboard, you can instantly add: Contacts, Leads, Deals, Companies, Activities, or send an Email.

It's as easy as that!

Best of all? The Universal Add button is a Smart Feature.

The Universal Add button is available in your top menu throughout Smackdab, and it will prefill some of your actions based on when you click on it.

For example:

In the Deal Module

  • From a Specific Deal's Detail Page: When you add an activity, Smackdab will automatically link the deal name, contact, and company for you. When composing an email, the deal is automatically linked, and the contact's email address is pre-filled in the "To" field.

In the Contact Module

  • From a Specific Contact's Detail Page: Creating a new deal or activity? The contact's name will be auto-filled. When you compose an email, the contact is automatically linked, and their email address will be waiting for you in the "To" field. You can also add a sub-account (child company), and Smackdab will automatically link it to the parent company.

In the Company Module

  • From a Specific Company's Detail Page: When adding a new deal, contact, or activity, the company's name will be automatically filled in. When drafting an email, the company will be linked, and the primary contact's email will be pre-filled.

  • Adding a Sub-Company: If you have parent companies enabled in your settings, you'll see an "Add Sub-Company" option. From a parent company's detail page, this feature will auto-fill the parent company field for you.
