Synced Calendar- Free/Busy events management

Fine-Tune Your Availability with "Free" vs. "Busy" Calendar Events

Want to add a personal reminder to your calendar without blocking off your booking availability? Now you can!

Smackdab intelligently reads the "Free" or "Busy" status of events from your synced calendar (like Google Calendar or Outlook), giving you precise control over which events prevent bookings and which ones don't. This puts you in the driver's seat of your schedule.

How It Works

It’s simple: Smackdab respects the availability status you set on your external calendar and adjusts your booking page accordingly.

  • When an event is marked "Busy": Smackdab treats you as unavailable. That time slot will be automatically removed from your public booking page, preventing anyone from scheduling a meeting with you during that time.

  • When an event is marked "Free": Smackdab knows you're still open for business. Even though the event is on your calendar, the time slot will remain open and available for booking, giving you maximum flexibility.

A Practical Example

Think of your daily lunch break. If you create a "Lunch" event on your calendar from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM:

  • If you mark it as Busy, the 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM slot will be hidden from your booking page. No one can book you.

  • If you mark it as Free, the 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM slot will remain open for bookings, just in case a can't-miss client needs that specific time.

This smart feature gives you the flexibility to manage your entire life on one calendar without constantly worrying about scheduling conflicts. You're in complete control!
