How to Apply Security Alerts

Protect Your Data with Proactive Security Alerts

Get instant notifications about the most important activities happening in your Smackdab account. Our customizable Security Alerts act as your personal watchdog, helping you protect sensitive data, monitor account access, and respond to potential risks before they become problems.

By setting up alerts, you'll stay in the know about everything from login attempts to bulk data deletions, giving you peace of mind and complete control over your system's integrity.

How to Set Up Your Security Alerts

First, let's get you to the right place in the app.

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Choose the Security Center.

  3. Click on Alerts.

Now you're ready to configure your alerts. The process is simple: first, you'll choose which users to monitor, and then you'll select the specific events you want to be notified about.

Select Who to Monitor

Security alerts are set on a per-user basis. From the "Select Users" dropdown menu, you can choose one or multiple team members to apply your alert settings to.

Activate Account Access Alerts

This section helps you keep track of who is accessing your Smackdab account and how. Simply check the box next to any alert you want to activate. You can be notified when a user:

  • Logs in from a new location

  • Invites a new user to Smackdab

  • Has 3 failed login attempts in a row

  • Requests a password reset

Configure Data Leakage and Loss Alerts

Protect your valuable data by getting notified of any large-scale changes. Check the box next to any of these alerts to turn them on. The default setting will alert you when a user:

  • Deletes pipelines or stages

  • Deletes 10 or more accounts

  • Deletes 10 or more contacts

  • Deletes 10 or more deals

  • Deletes 10 or more activities

Customizing Your Data Alert Thresholds

Are the default numbers not quite right for your team? You can easily change the deletion count for your data alerts.

  1. Click the edit icon located to the right of the "Data Leakage and Loss" title.

  2. In the "Edit Counts" window that pops up, enter your new preferred numbers for each category.

  3. Click Save, and your custom thresholds will be immediately applied.
