How to Update or Delete a Custom Entity

Whether you need to refresh an entity's name to better match a new process or clean up your workspace by removing an old one, you're in the right place. Let's walk through the simple steps to update or delete your custom entities and keep Smackdab perfectly tailored to you!

To Update a Custom Entity Name

  1. Go to "Settings".

  2. Click on "Customization", then on "Entity".

  3. On the Entity Listing page, locate the custom entity you want to update.

  4. Click the three vertical dots (⋮) on the right side of the entity row.

  5. Click on "Edit".

  6. Update the singular name, plural name, or icon as required.

  7. Click "Save" to apply the changes.

To Delete a Custom Entity

  1. On the Entity Listing screen in Settings, find the custom entity you want to delete.

  2. Click the three vertical dots (⋮) on the right-hand side of the entity name.

  3. Click on "Delete".

  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Notes:

  1.  You can also change the name of a default entity, but you cannot delete it.

  2. Deleting a custom entity will remove all data associated with it. This action is irreversible.
